We made a video of this Toulouse Table Makeover Project for you to watch as well. I hope you enjoy it! Ellie
I have a beautiful timber table in my home that sits perfectly between two large French doors. It is the perfect spot to write a thank-you note to a friend or to make my list of new project ideas. I have had this piece in my home for years so I decided it was time to make over this beautiful table. I wanted something fresh and bright for my home and decided to go with my Blake & Taylor Chalk Furniture Paint in Toulouse. This colour was inspired by the shutters on the windows I saw while in Toulouse and now every time I look at this table, I will be reminded of the location that inspired this soothing colour.
I started by painting the entire table using my 25mm round paint brush and making sure that it was all coated evening. I got into all the little sections of the carvings which was really easy with my round brush.
Once the paint was dried, I used my 50mm Paint Brush to dry brush Blake & Taylor Chalk Furniture Paint in New White on the raised and carved sections. I love being able to accent certain parts of a piece by using the dry brush technique.
As always I finished this project with Blake & Taylor Clear Top Coat.
I absolutely love how my table turned out! What do you think?
I have my new gorgeous table in my home underneath one of my original favourite oil paintings called Fragrant Stocks by the lovely Francis Ianarella, this can be purchased as an art print on my website and I know it would look beautiful in your home too! You can also purchase this beautiful table for $499 by sending us an email or phoning the store to organise.
